All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Anambra State, Nicholas Ukachukwu, has declared that the defection of his political structure from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to APC has significantly strengthened the ruling party’s force in the state ahead of the upcoming governorship election scheduled for November 8th 2025.
Speaking shortly after President Bola Tinubu officially presented him with the party’s flag at the State House, in Abuja on Monday, Ukachukwu said he was more than ready to wrestle power from incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo and deliver Anambra to the APC as well as put an end to what he described as the “one-party system,” in the State.
He stated that the APC is now a formidable force in the state, with structures and supporters from across all senatorial zones.
Speaking on his meeting with the President, Ukachukwu said President Tinubu was impressed with the level of preparedness and the warm reception he received during his recent visit to Anambra.
On internal party unity following the APC governorship primaries in the state, Ukachukwu noted that the party’s National Working Committee, led by Abdullahi Ganduje, had successfully reconciled nearly all factions within the party.
