Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The endorsement was led by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, during the APC National Summit held today in Abuja, and seconded by Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani.

Governor Uzodimma, speaking on behalf of the forum, stressed their commitment to mobilizing resources and ensuring victory for Tinubu in their respective states, as he expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and ongoing reforms.

The summit, themed “Renewed Hope Agenda: The Journey So Far,” drew party heavyweights, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, who also declared their support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Both leaders of the National Assembly aligned with the PGF’s position, underscoring what they described as a united front within the party as it looks ahead to 2027.
