At the New York City premiere of Wicked: For Good, Ariana Grande politely asked photographers to stop shouting as she posed on the red carpet. Cynthia Erivo also signaled for them to lower their volume. Grande joked afterward, “This is so peaceful.” In another clip, she assured photographers they’d get their shots.
The costars, who play Glinda and Elphaba, skipped most interviews, with Erivo resting her voice per Universal’s announcement. Speaking briefly on the livestream, Grande said it felt special to celebrate the film in New York, while Erivo added that ending the press tour where the Broadway show began was “really beautiful.” The cast, including Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh and Ethan Slater, joined them for the final premiere ahead of the film’s Nov. 21 release.
