Cote d’Ivoire has withdrawn from hosting the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations just weeks before the tournament is set to begin from April 26 to May 18, 2025.
In a statement, the Ivorian Football Federation said the government has officially notified the CAF Secretary General of this development.
CAF had already conducted the draw for the tournament on February 13, 2025, in Cairo, Egypt.
Reports say CAF is now in talks with Egypt about replacing Côte d’Ivoire as host for the competition.
