Multi-award-winning singer Davido has shared the inspiration behind the title of his highly anticipated fifth studio album, ‘5ive’, during a recent appearance on a Twitch stream hosted by Cruel Santino.

According to the artist, the title reflects the fact that this is his fifth album, set for release on April 18th, which follows his “Time Trilogy”, ‘A Good Time’, ‘A Better Time’, and ‘Timeless’ albums.

Davido stated that it was time to move on to a new chapter in his music career, and had dropped two singles ‘Awuke’ featuring Jamaican Dancehall sensation YG Marley and ‘Funds’ featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck, ahead of the album release.

Davido during a live Twitch stream appearance with Cruel Santino also revealed that American music star Chris Brown would be on his next album ‘5ive’, while a potential joint project and tour could happen afterwards.
