Federal Government Revokes Houses of Defaulting Subscribers

News

April 2, 2025

The Federal Government has revoked the Offer of Provisional Allocation of Houses under the National Housing Programme (NHP) for recipients who failed to make full payment within the stipulated 90-day period and the additional eight-week grace.

The government has made the list of revoked allocations available on the ministry’s website and will publish it in national newspapers for transparency and public accountability.

According to Dr. Shuaib Muhammad Belgore, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, the revocation only applies to those who didn’t meet the payment requirements on time.

However, beneficiaries who completed payment on or before February 28, 2025, remain unaffected and can collect their Letters of Allocation to take possession of their homes.
