The 17th edition of the Headies Awards took place yesterday in Lagos, celebrating the achievements of Nigerian and African artists over the past year.

The event, marking a return to Nigeria after two years abroad, the awards ceremony featured 31 categories, handed Qing Madi Songwriter of the Year for her emotive track “Vision,”, Zerry DL was honoured with Rookie of the Year, London received Producer of the Year for Rema’s “Ozeba,” Liya’s powerful rendition of “I’m Done” earned her Best Vocal Performance (Female), Best vocal performance (Male) was clinched by Lojay for the track “Billions”, while the Best Recording of the Year went to Tems for her track “Burning”.

Funke Akindele’s movie ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ clinched the newly introduced ‘Sound Track Of The Year’ Award.
