The House of Representatives Committee on Examination Bodies has called for a thorough investigation of the glitches that occured during the last Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for prospective undergraduates, which has caused serious uproar from Nigerians including carrying out a comprehensive reforms for the examination body (JAMB and others) in order to address a reoccurrence of the errors that happened during the release of the results for the examination.
Led by the Committee Chairman On Examination Bodies during a press conference at the National Assembly in Abuja, Hon. Ofoku Oforji expressed deep sympathy and rendered an unreserved apology to those individuals affected psychologically and emotionally, particularly to the candidate who lost her life as a result of the situation.
Our correspondent Nathan Williams reports tat the committee says it will strengthen its oversight on the examination body to ensure the unfortunate incidents does not repeat itself again.
