TIME magazine has named Nigeria’s Mo Abudu, CEO of EbonyLife Group, in its 2025 TIME 100 list of the world’s most influential people.
The annual list celebrates individuals who are making significant global impact through innovation and achievement.
Abudu, a media mogul and entrepreneur, was recognised for her work in reshaping the global perception of Africa through storytelling, business, and advocacy.
In her reaction, she called the honour humbling and empowering, saying it reminds her that African stories deserve a place on the global stage.
She also credited her team, family, and supporters for helping her build platforms that amplify African voices.
British actor, Idris Elba, who collaborated with Abudu on the recent film Dust to Dreams, praised her drive and influence, saying “she gets things done.”
He also highlighted her achievements, including launching the $50 million Afro Film Fund and her efforts to support African talent and storytelling across the globe.
