President Bola Tinubu has announced plans to visit Benue State on Wednesday in response to the lingering security challenges in the state, while reaffirming his commitment to peace and national unity.
Speaking during the commissioning of the Greater Abuja Water Supply Network on Monday in Abuja, President Tinubu expressed deep concern over the continued violence in Benue and offered condolences to victims.
Speaking on the commissioning of the Greater Abuja Water Supply Network — Loops 1, 2, 5, and 6 — he hailed the project as a transformative step toward sustainable urban development, as he urged residents and stakeholders to protect the infrastructure and ensure its sustainability.
Our correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, emphasized the commitment of the current administration to rural development, adding that the FCT had signed an agreement with CDC to provide water to rural areas, and today, the procurement process is almost complete.
