The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack has said the probe instituted by the Federal Government to identify civil servants who are still receiving salaries after relocating abroad is still ongoing.
While denying that the process had been swept under the carpet, the Head of Service emphasised that they had sustained the momentum to ensure that those who left the country in search of greener pastures abroad are no longer benefiting from the system.
She said since the commencement of the probe as ordered by President Bola Tinubu, some of the japa workers had rushed to resign while some returned to the country to report for work.
The development comes five months after President Tinubu ordered that all civil servants who are drawing salaries from the government after relocating abroad should be made to refund the money.
