Super Falcons Beat Algeria 4-1 In International Friendly
The Super Falcons continued dominating Algeria yesterday with a 4-1 win in the second-leg of their international friendlies at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos. Folashade Ijamilusi’s hat-trick was the highlight the afternoon, while Gift Monday added another goal to secure a second consecutive victory over the Green Ladies. The Super Falcons had defeated the Green Ladies 2-0 in their first friendly last Saturday. This means that Interim Coach, Justin Madugu, has now won his first two matches since the resignation of Randy Waldrum.
Winners at the Ballon D’Or Event Announced

The 2024 Ballon d’Or is set to take place tonight, and it guaranteed that a new name will be added in the new page of history. NFF appoints New Head Coach Of Super Eagles
Nigeria Football Federation has appointed German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, to become the Head Coach of the Super Eagles. NFF’s General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, who announced this today, said Labbadia’s appointment is with immediate effect. The 58-year-old, who is the sixth German to lead the Super Eagles, is to take charge of the three-time African champions for two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic on Saturday, September 7th in Uyo, and Rwanda on Tuesday, September 10th in Kigali. The NFF is expected to hand over a list of 40 players to Labbadia, as provisional squad for the upcoming qualifiers.

Remo Stars Football Club of Ikenne on Sunday at Rabat in Morocco crashed out of the 2024/2025 African Champions League in the competition’s first preliminary round. The 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) runners-up crashed out after losing 2-3 aggregate to Moroccan side AS FAR Rabat, despite winning the first leg fixture on Aug. 18 in Ikenne 2-1.
