The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has postponed the 2024 African Nations Championship to August 2025.
The competition to be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, was initially billed for February 1 to 28.
CAF President, Patrice Motsepe, announced this today following the advice of CAF Technical and Infrastructure experts, who believe that more time is required to ensure that the facilities are at the levels necessary for hosting a successful Championship.
He however, did not state the exact date for the commencement of the competition in August 2025.
Meanwhile, CAF will be conducting the draw for the 2024 CAF African Nations Championship tomorrow night at Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi.
