Comptroller General of NIS says it takes two weeks for green passport to be produced

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Wura-Ola Adepoju, says it will take TWO WEEKS between the point of application for green passports to be produced. 

The Immigration boss in an interview also said Nigerians would be able to renew their travel passports without human contact effective March 8, 2024.

Adepoju was a guest on Channels TV yesterday, alongside the NIS Deputy Comptroller General, Kemi Nandap, who declared that over 46,000 applications have been received since January 8, 2024 when the Service began automation of the passport application process.
