The House of Representatives is expected to commence debate on the general principles of a bill seeking to establish a state police in Nigeria.
The private member bill which was sponsored by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Benjamin Kalu and 14 others, has been gazetted for a second reading today Tuesday.
Also at plenary, the House is expected to debate a motion on the ‘Urgent need to Investigate the closure and exodus of Multinational Companies in Nigeria.
In the same vein, the lawmakers are expected to debate a motion on the ‘Need to investigate the abandoned $37.8 million Phase 2 of the NNPC – NAOC Joint Venture Okpai Independence Power Plant Project’.
