The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a Lagos
car dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, over the death of
his wife, Abimbola.

Controversies had sparked on the Nigerian internet space after IVD was
accused of domestic violence by his in-laws which they believe led to the
death of his wife.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed that
the suspect had been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal
Investigation Department, Yaba on Saturday.

Ikechukwu and Abimbola had been married for 16 years, with a union blessed
with five kids.
