The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau(NSIB) says another body has been recovered out of the eight involved in the Ill-fated helicopter crash which occurred on the coast of Bonny Finima in the Atlantic Ocean.
In a statement by the Director Public enlightenment and family assistance of the Bureau Mrs. Bimbo Oladeji noted that the lifeless body was discovered at about 4pm and escorted to safe area by the Cameroonian Navy NUIMS Antan, for safe transit through their territorial waters.
The statement further notes that three additional rescue vessels have been deployed to the location to discuss the area survey and diving operations.
Oladeji explained that Field operations identified the floating body by confirming the T-shirt worn matched the description provided and that Eastwind aviation has been contacted for the provision of air ambulance to transport the body tomorrow morning.
The NSIB states that it’s actively collaborating with a joint search, rescue, and recovery team, as well as various supporting agencies.
